june 2025 is the month that i became a non-fan of Formula 1.

because F1 driver(?) Max Verstappen was unhappy with decisions made by his team during the 2025 Spanish Grand Prix, his entitled ass decided to ram his car into another driver’s car. dick.

in the interview directly following the race, he refused to address his dickish behavior, as if it was something that should not even be discussed. dick.

around a week later, he proclaimed that he did not understand why people were still talking about what he considered to be such a non-issue. dick.

it was then that i decided that i never wanted to hear his whiny voice or see his crybaby face ever, ever again. since he is young, that most likely means that i will not see another F1 race for decades; that is fine, i will wait.

the punishment doled out to him for ramming into another race car was to penalize him a few positions for that race, and then business as usual, nothing to see here. WHAT!? kick that fool out of F1, at least for a season, at least for a FEW races. i would prefer to see him permanently gone for such an egregious act.

it is difficult for me to understand how the other F1 drivers accept sharing a track with such an immature, unhinged individual. F1 is far too dangerous a sport to have to race with someone who cannot control themselves, who lets emotion rule all reason. one driver said, “I’ve done that before… in Mario Kart!”, which tells me that at least some drivers feel like that fool is immature as well. the other drivers need to be FAR more vocal about his unacceptable behavior.

so bye for now, Formula 1. coincidentally(?), after my decision i happened to see an IndyCar race; NICE! evaluating.
